Terminal changes at Narita Airport

ANA moves to Terminal 1 at Narita Airport on June 2.

One of the Star Alliance Airlines, ANA, moves to Terminal 1 at Narita Airport on June 2.
There are two terminals at Narita International Airport, Terminal 1 and Terminal 2.

Terminal 1 is mainly used by foreign airlines and Terminal 2 is used by Japanese airlines.
Now Star Alliance Carriers get together to the same terminal and becomes more conveinent.
For example, tansit time becomes much shorter than before as long as you use the alliance airlines.

Special Ramen

Famous Ramen shop

I have a chance to visit and taste the special ramen at the famous Ramen shop
It was 11:30 in the morning but there is a line and more than 10 people are queued.
Around 20 minutes later, I could get in the restaurant and ordered the ramen with Nori, seaweed.

The taste of soup broth is so delicious and the noodle is al dente even though they are very thin.
No wander many people are waiting for long time.

There are many famous Ramen shops in Tokyo and Osaka.
If you have patient for waiting, try it.

The Meteorological Agency announced that cherry blossoms (Somei-Yoshino cherry tree)
flowered in Tokyo and Yokohama City on March 2.

It is ten days earlier from last year earlier. seven days from the average year in Tokyo.

In Yokohama, it is seven days earlier from the average year.


The sightseeing season has come in Japan.

This airport is 21 hour operation.
New Airline Starflyer operate over 10 flights between Tokyo and Kita-Kyusyu.

First "Ice bar" in Asia

First "Ice bar" in Asia

Here is an ice bar in Tokyo, which is opened in London last year.

The ice bar, "Absolut Icebar" opened in Nishi Azabut, Tokyo. It is kept five degrees below zero all year round and the bar is decorated with ices, tables, wall, glass and counter. The ices are carried from famous Tolne river of the Northern Sweden.. Of course, when entering the shop, customers lend a jacket against the cold.
The glass is made by ice so non-alcohol drink becomes sorbet

Administration fee is 3500 Yen including one drink.
Of course, there is no hot Sake.

The concept of this book store is Japanese History Bookstore.

It was old apartments on fashionable street.
The building needed to be rebuilt because of wreck.
Newly opened facility supplies new merchandising area, shops and restaurants in addition to the residential area.
The design concept is "WA & WA", the first "wa" means harmony in Japanese.
The second "WA" means Walk, Watch, Wake and Way


It is walking distance from JR Harajyuku Station.

The university examination season has started. The hotel in various places is occupied by the examinee, and it becomes difficult for the business person to make a reservation of the hotel. Especially, the tendency is strong in the metropolis with a lot of universities such as Tokyo and Osaka.

Three type of canbeer

Three types of can beer

Healthy is one of key words in Japan.
Here are three types of can beer.
Center one is standard low-malt beer which is made from not only malt and hop but also soy-beans etc. This type of beer is much cheaper than normal beer because of the alcohol tax.
Right one is less carbohydrate, 70% cutting comparing with normal low-malt beer
Left one is much healthier beer that achieved purine 99% cutting (compared with the low-malt beer and purine is known the cause of gout ) and carbohydrate 60% cutting at the same time.

Hitachi and JR Higashi Nippon started to demonstrate the Electronic paper at JR Tokyo Station.
It aims to display News, Weather and Information from JR Higashi Nippon.
This is an experimental demonstration from Dec 1 to Dec. 14 '05.
The content is changed every 5 minutes by wireless LAN.
If you have a chance to stop at Tokyo, it is an interest item to see.
