Mt Fuji Climbing

It becomes available to climb Mt. Fuji from Yamanashi prefecture on July 1
The roads from Shizuoka prefecture to the peak is not fully opened yet because of snow.

Please check the agency if you have an interest to climb Mt.Fuji in July.

Climbing Mt. Fuji

Climbing Mt. Fuji?

It is supposed to open the climbing Mt Fuji. on July 1
But this year is different. There are too much snow on it therefore it is decided stop climbing to Mt Fuji on the day.
There are four roots to climb Mt. Fuji from Shizuoka and Yamanashi prefecture.
The agencies of both prefectures judged all four roots can't be opened on July 1.
If you have a plan to climb Mt. Fuji early in July, please check it before planing.

Rainy Season???

Entering the rainy season is only a day with rain.

The Meteorological Agency announces Rainy season started in Tokyo/Kanto area.

On he first day, it was raining but it was fine for a couple of days.
The agency forecasts no rain in this wee.
It is good news for the visitors to Japan.
We expect it is rainy season all over Japan for a month.
Bring an umbrella or purchase it in Japan.
You can buy it with 500 Yen at a convenience store.

What is this?

This is a pepper caster.
It contains only for red peppar or shichimi-peppaer(seven different taste of peppers).
You can see it at a noodle restaurant, Udon or Soba.
The container is made from a gourd.
It is a good idea to use it for a caster, Men of old times' wisdoms.

PASMO

What is PASMO?

PASMO is the universal pre-paid card for Train systems in Tokyo area.
Initially you have to pay 500 Yen as deposit.
You can use it for JR, Tokyo Metro and other private railways after you charge some Japanese Yen.
Then you don't need to worry the fare to the target station.

Cherry Blossoms

Japan Meteorological Agency announced that they observe the Cheery Blossoms in Tokyo.
The season of Cherry blossoms has started.
The recent cold weather in March make delay of blooming but it is third record of early blooming.

The best season for traveling to Japan has started.

Following map shows the expected blooming timing of cherry blossoms by the Agency.

US and Canada started Day Light Saving from last Sunday.

But there is no Day Light Savung system in Japan.
It means no changing time between summar time and winter time.

New Aviation Security Rules for Cabin lugguage

New Aviation Security Rules

When you are going out from Japan to your country, the security check becomes tighter than before.
It is effective from March 1st 2007.

When you carry some riquid to cabin, one item should be less than 100 ml.
And it should be in the transparent plastic bag.
You can carry 10 different items up to 1000 ml.

The custom that the woman sends the chocolate to a favorite man on Valentine's Day is in Japan.
In the department store and retail stores, a special counter is
installed, and the sales battle has been done for a week.
A certain department store imported, and sold the nearby 100 of chocolate brand.

I just wonded how the leftover will be handled??

When you visit a Japanese restaurant, you are requested to take off your shoes at some restaurant.
The structure of restaurant is similar to Japanese house.
Tatami mats lay in the room.
Before getting into the room, you have to remove your shoes.

Department stores and shopping malls open for many shoppers inspite.
They sell specail packaged bag, Lucky bag, "Fukubukuro", which contains a sort of valuable goods.
Double or triple value items are packed in them.
It will be really great deal for customers.
After shopping time, the customers have many bags.

Special Ramen

Cha-shu-men

Cha-shu-men is a kind of "Ramen".
It is topped with sliced of "Cha-shu", roasted pork.
Ramen has a slice of Chashu normally.
Cha-shu-men is specialized by many Cha-shus.
It varies by Ramen restaurants to have how many slices of Cha-shu for Cha-shu-men.
I ate Cha-shu-men by chance and it was coverd all over the noodle.
I couldn't see any noodle because of so many Cha-shus.

There are so many people are reading it.
I found the article "Japan Media Review".
It introduced Japan's 6 major daily newspapers rank in the global top 8 in circulation.
Yomiuri Shinbun 14 million copies
The Asahi Shinbun 12 million copies
Mainichi Shinbun 5.5 million copies
Nihon Keizai Shinbun 4.6 million copies
Sankei Shinbun 2.6 million copies

Isn't it amazing?
No wonder so many people are reading paper in a train.

The price is handy tea that used the leaf after the sprout is picked.

It is tea that mixed the brown rice roasted well.


Superior green tea

This is the highest quality green tea.

This tea is served after meal.

It is tea that is dried while massaging it after the sprout is steamed picking it and

Ekiben

Ekiben is a lunch box for travelers.

Each station has original lunch box.
It is kind of fun to enjoy the lunch box which is dished out with local special indigence.



This is a famous Ekiben, MIso-Katsu & Ebi fry lunch from JR Nagoya Station.
Miso-Katsu means Pork Cutlet dipped in Miso-sauce.
Ebi fry means deep fried Shrimp
Nagoya's local speciality is the Miso-sauce and Shrimp fry
So it serves two of Nagoya's special means together for the travelers.

Japan Tobacco Inc. announced that its new list prices for its tobacco products increased 10 - 30 Yen.
One pack of tabacco costs around 300 Yen.
It has become hard times for the smoker.
Smoker ratio in Japan is around 40 % for men and 12% for women.
Smoker paradise in Japan is getting change.
Smokable spots are becomes so limited.
Is it a good timing to quit smoking?

The temperature of the air conditioner in summer is set to 28?Ž for the global heating.
It had started in last summer to spend it comfortably in such an office is "COOL BIZ ".
This campaign is organized by Ministry of the Environment.
Thousands of Japanese companies join this campaign and set the air conditioner temperature as required.

You may feel kind of hot if you wear jacket and tie in offices.
Why don't you take your jacket and tie off?

Many Japanese wear casual wear and no tie.
The special clothing are available which is using much hemp.



We need to fight against "Global Warming".
