Shinkan sen (I)

Shinkansen has been considered as the safest train in the world.
Actually it is the anniversary of 40 years of Tokaido Shinaknsen.
And we never have any accidents for 40 years.

But a big earthquake hit Nigata area and the train de-railed .
This is really shocking news for Japanese.
Shinkansen is supposed to stop when an earthquake occurs in the area.
This time the source of earthquake is inland earthquake and the
depth of hypocenter is about 15 kilometer.
It hit Shinkansen almost without breaking.
